Basketball Recap: Fox Chapel's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Tuesday

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Fox Chapel ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They secured a 66-60 W over the Pine-Richland Rams. Given the Foxes' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Rams are ranked 232nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Caden Kaiser, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times he's played. Grant Fenton was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Fox Chapel smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Fox Chapel's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Pine-Richland, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.
