Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Rutherford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jada Whitesides, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Whitesides has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 19 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Taniyah Cash, who scored 15 points along with four steals.
East Rutherford has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season. As for Hendersonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8.
East Rutherford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 79-49 victory vs. R-S Central on the 9th. Hendersonville will head out on the road to face off against Brevard at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hendersonville is coming into the match with three straight losses on the road, meaning Brevard will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
