Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Highland ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Yuma, sneaking past 7-5. The win was familiar territory for the Huskies, who have now won five contests in a row.
Stetson Hendren made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Sawyer Morgan was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
Highland's record is now 16-5-1. As for Liberty Common, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

However, it's not like Highland struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
