Softball Recap: Pendleton County Takes a Loss

Pendleton County suffered their biggest defeat since March 28th on Friday. They came up short against the Oak Hill Red Devils, falling 23-8.

Laney Bowers and Lexi Tingler stepped up to the plate in a big way. Bowers went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Tingler went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Rowe, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Pendleton County's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Oak Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-13 record this season.

Pendleton County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 14-5 victory against Tygarts Valley on the 28th. As for Oak Hill, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-0 defeat against Grafton on the 24th.
