Softball Game Preview: Creekview Mustangs vs. Highland Park Scots

Creekview is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will venture away from home to square off against the Highland Park Scots at 6:45 p.m. Creekview is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Creekview saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 7-4 to Royse City.

Kaelani Rogers was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Highland Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 17-2 to John Paul II.

Creekview's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Highland Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Everything went Creekview's way against Highland Park in their previous meeting back in April of 2019, as Creekview made off with a 12-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Creekview since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
