Basketball Recap: Rosamond Roadrunners vs. Boron Bobcats
The Rosamond Roadrunners waltzed into their matchup on Friday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They breezed by Boron on the road to the tune of 77-20. Rosamond has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Andrew Arredondo continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last eight games he's played. Fabian Robles was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Rosamond has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Boron, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rosamond won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Spirits at 2:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Paraclete presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Roadrunners in California (the Spirits are ranked 161st, while the Roadrunners are ranked 746th). As for Boron, they will head out on the road to challenge the Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
