Softball Game Preview: McKinley Red Dragons vs. Struthers Wildcats

For the second straight game, McKinley will face off against Struthers. The Red Dragons will face off against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McKinley is looking for their season's first win.

McKinley came up short against Struthers on Monday, falling 14-6.

For Struthers' part, Katie Morris spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 12 Ks.

On the hitting side, Ella Bailey was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with seven RBI, two triples, and three runs. Samantha Minno was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4.

Struthers always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. The last time their OBP was this high was back in May of 2024.

Struthers' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for McKinley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.
