Orthopaedic had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt USC-MAE on Wednesday. Everything went the Orthopaedic Vipers' way against the USC-MAE Trojans as the Orthopaedic Vipers made off with a 3-0 victory. The Vipers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trojans, too.

Orthopaedic was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-8, 25-20.

Ruben Hernandez paced Orthopaedic's offense, picking up 14 kills. Hernandez got some help from Samuel Rivera and his 28 assists. Hernandez and Rivera didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with four apiece.

The win got Orthopaedic back to even at 4-4. As for USC-MAE, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Orthopaedic will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Downtown Magnets at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for USC-MAE, they will take on Aspire Ollin at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. USC-MAE is facing Aspire Ollin at the right time seeing as Aspire Ollin is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
