Baseball Recap: Kanab Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Kanab extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday, bumping them up to 14-3. They put the hurt on the Parowan Rams with a sharp 16-2 victory. Considering the Cowboys have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Walker Baird made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Baird was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Latimer Glover, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Kanon Virostko, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Kanab always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in six consecutive contests.

As for Parowan, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. They have struggled against Kanab recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

On Parowan's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Townsend, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Kanab will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rams: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
