Basketball Recap: Eli Baldwin Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Peru

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Logansport walked away with it. They strolled past the Peru Tigers with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 71-57. This was a revenge game for the Berries: when they faced off against the Tigers back in November of 2024, they had to take a 71-42 loss.

Logansport's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eli Baldwin, who shot 78% from the field on his way to 19 points and four blocks. Those four blocks gave Baldwin a new career-high. Another player making a difference was RJ Clem, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Logansport's victory bumped their record up to 9-15. As for Peru, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.

Logansport didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 88-77 defeat against Maconaquah on the 8th. Peru does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
