Football Recap: Frisco Skates Past Heritage with Ease

Frisco extended their winning streak (dating back to last season) to four on Friday, bumping them up to 3-0. They blew past the Heritage Coyotes 56-28. That's more bragging rights for the Raccoons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Frisco's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jackson Voris, who rushed for 40 yards and two scores. Cobyn Harbert was another key passer, throwing for 180 yards and a pair of TDs.

Frisco's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Baron Barker. Barker is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least seven every time he's taken the field this season.

As for Heritage, they now have a losing record of 1-2. They gained 101 more yards on the day, but it was Frisco that made the best use of them.

Defeat or not, Heritage got some senior leadership from Vincent Hooper and Tatum Bell Jr. Hooper gained 214 total yards and three touchdowns, while Bell Jr gained 138 total yards and a touchdown.

Coincidentally, Frisco and Heritage will both be playing Lone Star the next time they take the field. The Coyotes will host the Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Raccoons will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on October 2.
