Cottonwood's leading hitter did her thing again on Monday. Samantha Rodriguez went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two doubles, and one RBI, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best she's had all season long. Those doubles marked the first that she hit this season.

Looking ahead, Rodriguez and Cottonwood will venture away from home to face off against Hillcrest at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hillcrest will enter the matchup having just beaten Corner Canyon, so Cottonwood will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
