Softball Recap: King Comes Up Short

King fell victim to Santa Gertrudis Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 12-0 to the Santa Gertrudis Academy Lions. The game marked the first time this year in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.

King dropped their record down to 2-3 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Santa Gertrudis Academy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

King wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Los Fresnos on the 28th. As for Santa Gertrudis Academy, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-2 win against Tuloso-Midway on the 27th.
