Haxtun had won two straight road games  and  Emily Anderson did her part to make it three on Thursday. The Haxtun Fightin' Bulldogs slipped by the Akron Rams  36-35 thanks in part to  Anderson, who  posted eight points and six  steals. She is becoming a predictor of Haxtun's success: when she posts  at  least three  steals the team is 6-3 (and 2-5 when she doesn't).
 Akron's  defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of  Kashlee Randel, who  had seven  points in addition to ten  steals and seven  boards, and  Molly O'Neil, who  earned 11 points along with seven  rebounds and four  steals. Those ten  steals gave  Randel a new career-high.  Taylor Benish was another key player,  putting up two  points in addition to five  boards and three  steals.
The  win  got Haxtun back to even at 8-8. As for Akron,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 8-7.
 Haxtun wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  matchup,  a  56-47  loss against Brush on the 7th. As for Akron, they have also  already played their next contest,  a  45-32  victory against Byers on the 7th.
