Softball Game Preview: Westfield Mustangs vs. MacArthur Generals

Westfield hasn't had much luck against MacArthur recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Westfield Mustangs are taking a road trip to face off against the MacArthur Generals at 5:00 p.m. Westfield has given up an average of 22.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Westfield is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 14th straight game dating back to last season last Friday. They lost 18-6 to Aldine.

Meanwhile, MacArthur scored first but ultimately less than Spring in their matchup last Friday. They came up short against the Lions, falling 11-1. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Generals couldn't push the score so high this time.

Westfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for MacArthur, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-9-1.

Westfield suffered a grim 17-1 defeat to MacArthur in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Westfield avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
