Basketball Recap: Westside Snags Ninth Victory in Last 11 Games

Westside won the last time they faced Parker and things went their way on Friday too. The Westside Wolverines blew past the Parker Braves 63-42. Given the Wolverines' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Braves are ranked 609th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Westside found their leader in freshman Chase Williams-Pierce, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinard Life, who had eight points.

Westside has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Parker, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Westside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-43 victory against Orange Park on the 14th. Parker has also already played their next matchup (against Stanton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
