Basketball Recap: Dooly County Comes Up Short

Dooly County played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 49-9 loss at the hands of the Wilcox County Patriots. The Bobcats have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Aleesiah Taylor was Dooly County's leading scorer, having posted three points. Ja'Kayla Hooks held things down on the boards with nine rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.

Dooly County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Wilcox County, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 15-1.

Dooly County will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Treutlen at 5:00 p.m. As for Wilcox County, they will head out on the road to square off against Crisp County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
