Recap: Elmore County Panthers vs. Marbury Bulldogs
The Elmore County Panthers lost against the Marbury Bulldogs back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Elmore County suffered a tough 61-38 loss at the hands of Marbury. Elmore County has not had much luck with Marbury recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Marbury got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was DJ Graham out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Graham has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jacob Driver, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds.
Elmore County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season. As for Marbury, they pushed their record up to 6-12 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Elmore County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marbury, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sylacauga at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Marbury focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Thursday.
