Basketball Recap: Pequannock Sets Scoring Season-High Against Parsippany

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pequannock). They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the Parsippany Redhawks 67-40. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 66-60 back in December of 2024.

Several Redhawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alex Schmieder, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 11 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Arthur Smith, who posted nine points.

Pequannock's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Parsippany, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Pequannock will venture away from home to square off against Morristown-Beard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Parsippany, they will welcome Mountain Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain Lakes will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Parsippany surely won't give up without a fight.
