Soccer Recap: Roosevelt Comes Up Short

Roosevelt lost against Conrad back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Roosevelt Mustangs lost 4-0 to the Conrad Chargers. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 762nd, while the Chargers are ranked 288th).

Roosevelt has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. Conrad pushed their record up to 14-3-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Roosevelt will welcome Pinkston at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Conrad, they will host Carter at 11:30 a.m. on Monday. Conrad is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season.
