Baseball Game Preview: San Marin Mustangs vs. Redwood Giants

The San Marin Mustangs will face off against the Redwood Giants at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (San Marin 2, Redwood 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

San Marin's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They skirted past Redwood 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mustangs have posted since May 17, 2024.

Not much got past Sean McGrath, who gave up just a hit and racked up seven Ks to keep Redwood off the board. McGrath has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, San Marin's win was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Trevor Krejdovsky, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base. Daniel Rolovich also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

San Marin now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Redwood, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2-1.
