Preview: Bristow Pirates vs. Adair Warriors
Having just played yesterday, the Bristow Pirates will jump right back in to play the Adair Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bristow has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 413 points over their last six matchups.
Bristow put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They breezed by Colcord on the road to the tune of 83-40. 83 seems to be a good number for Bristow as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Bristow's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addi Alexander led the charge by scoring 17 points along with seven steals and five assists. Alexander hasn't dropped below 15points for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Shalyn Edmondson, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Adair strolled past Kansas with points to spare last Tuesday, taking the game 53-38. Given Adair's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while Kansas is ranked 204th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bristow's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Adair, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
