Softball Recap: East Iberville Takes a Loss

East Iberville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 16-15 heartbreaker at the hands of the White Castle Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 26-16 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

M. Johnson stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored three runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances. Another player making a difference was V. Ibanez, who scored a run and stole Four bases. while going 1-for-4.

East Iberville's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for White Castle, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Coincidentally, East Iberville and White Castle will both be playing St. John the next time they take the field. East Iberville will head out to face St. John at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while White Castle will play them later in the day, at 5:45 p.m.
