The Lake Fenton Blue Devils will challenge the Fowlerville Gladiators at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Lake Fenton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3  runs per game  this season.
On Monday, Lake Fenton needed a bit of extra time to put away Goodrich. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Martians, sneaking past  8-7.

 Lake Fenton got a  massive  performance out of  Parker Beardsley (Mott Community Coll, who  went 2-for-5 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  three  RBI gave  Beardsley (Mott Community Coll a new career-high.  Laureena Baehl (2027) was another key player,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Fowlerville, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Monday. They walked away with  a   9-6  victory over St. Johns  on Tuesday.
 Tommi Kleinschmidt and  Kiely Davis did most of the damage at the plate:  Kleinschmidt  went a perfect 4-for-4 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double, while  Davis  went a perfect 4-for-4 with three  RBI and two  runs. That  stolen base was  Kleinschmidt's first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Avery Borg, who  went 2-for-4 with one  triple and one  run.
 Fowlerville was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .517. That's the best  batting average they've posted all season.
 Fowlerville is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Lake Fenton, their victory bumped their record up to 15-3.
 Thursday's   contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lake Fenton hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .348. However, it's not like Fowlerville struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .333. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
