Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Portola). Everything went their way against the Oxford Academy Patriots on Monday as they made off with a 22-3 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their two-run performance the contest before.

The victory made it two in a row for Portola and bumps their season record up to 9-12. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Oxford Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-15-1.

Portola didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-0 defeat against Laguna Beach on the 23rd. As for Oxford Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-4 victory against Pioneer on the 22nd.
