Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Breeanne Polston and Avary Heady Lead Homestead to Victory

Homestead won the last time they faced Fort Wayne Northrop and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Spartans blew past the Bruins 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Homestead took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-12, 25-15.

Homestead was led to victory by Avary Heady and BreeAnne Polston. Heady had three digs and two aces, while Polston had four digs and two aces. Heady is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Lydia Bashford also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Homestead was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Wayne Northrop only served five.

Homestead's record now sits at 17-7. As for Fort Wayne Northrop, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.

Homestead will head out to challenge Carroll at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fort Wayne Northrop, they will host Fort Wayne Bishop Luers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
