Bernards had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 28-point drubbing they dealt Governor Livingston on Friday. The Mountaineers took their contest with ease, bagging a 35-7 win over the Highlanders. The result was nothing new for the Mountaineers, who have now won three matchups by 28 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Carteret scored first but ultimately less than Linden in their game on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 27-10 to the Tigers. While the Ramblers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tigers 10-0 in the first quarter.

Bernards' victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Carteret, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
