Baseball Recap: Overton Takes a Loss

Overton came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Olive Branch Conquistadors, falling 11-1. The matchup marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Overton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Dillard, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-1. That hit was Dillard's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Overton fell to 5-1. As for Olive Branch, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Overton will square off against Whitehaven at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Overton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season. As for Olive Branch, they will take on Center Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
