Flippin had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Salem on Monday. The Bobcats blew past the Greyhounds 10-4. Considering the Bobcats have won six games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Flippin's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Salem, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
