Baseball Recap: Springstead Extends Winning Streak to Three

Springstead won the last time they faced Mitchell and things went their way on Thursday too. The Springstead Eagles walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Mitchell Mustangs. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly four runs.

Andrew Ward was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

The win was the third in a row for Springstead, bringing their record for this year to 8-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Mitchell, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4.
