Basketball Game Preview: Lawrence County Cougars vs. Moss Point Tigers

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cougars take on the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Lawrence County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They blew past Raymond 60-37. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Moss Point waltzed into their game on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Tigers 35-33. 35 seems to be a good number for Moss Point as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Lawrence County is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points over those games. As for Moss Point, their win bumped their record up to 20-9.
