For the second straight game, Lebanon will face off against Southmont. The Tigers will challenge the Mounties at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lebanon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.9 runs per game this season.

Lebanon managed to slip by Southmont the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers came up short against the Mounties on Tuesday, falling 8-2. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

For Southmont's part, Ella Barry made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Barry has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Mallory Mason was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kenzie Douglas, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Southmont was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. They are 10-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Lebanon's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Southmont, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-7.

Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lebanon hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .404. However, it's not like Southmont struggles in that department as they've averaged .353. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
