Make it eight blowout wins for the Bowen Boilermakers this season. They really took it to EPIC Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-15 win on the road. With Bowen ahead 32-2 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Rae'Qwon Rogers continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with five steals. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Unique Martin, who scored four points along with ten steals.
When it comes to explaining why EPIC Academy lost on Thursday, one person who can't be blamed is Anthony Donley. Despite the final result, he scored ten points.
The win was the fifth in a row for Bowen, bringing their record for this year to 16-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for EPIC Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
Bowen will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Excel Academy of South Shore at 5:00 p.m. As for EPIC Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Chicago Washington at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
