Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Patton). Everything went their way against the St. Stephens Indians on Tuesday as they made off with an 8-0 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Patton's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 75th, while St. Stephens are ranked 359th).

Patton's victory bumped their record up to 4-1-2. As for St. Stephens, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-7-1.

Coming up, Patton is taking a road trip to face off against East Burke at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup will give Patton their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for St. Stephens, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Ashbrook at 6:00 p.m.
