Basketball Recap: Oregon-Davis Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Oregon-Davis challenged Wheeler on Wednesday. The Bobcats took a hard 55-36 fall against the Bearcats. The Bobcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Bearcats from their previous meeting back in December of 2024.

Wheeler got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sean Schafer out in front who shot 54% from the field en route to 15 points. The dominant performance also gave Schafer a new career-high in boards (four). Another player making a difference was Ty Schafer, who posted nine points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

Oregon-Davis has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Wheeler, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oregon-Davis will welcome Trinity Greenlawn at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wheeler, they will be playing at home against Lake Station Edison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
