Basketball Game Preview: Bertie Falcons vs. Tarboro Vikings

The Bertie Falcons will challenge the Tarboro Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Saturday, Bertie humbled Hertford County with a 58-31 victory. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Tarboro sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 62-59 victory over Martin County on Friday.

Bertie's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-9. As for Tarboro, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.

Everything came up roses for Bertie against Tarboro in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 93-53 win. Does Bertie have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tarboro turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
