Baseball Recap: Cooper Comes Up Short

Cooper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-4 to the Highlands Bluebirds, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bluebirds this season, with their most recent defeat being a 13-4 loss on Saturday.

Cooper saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Duane, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Cooper's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Highlands, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-14.

Looking ahead, Cooper will face off against Holy Cross at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Highlands, they will challenge Newport Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
