It was fun while it lasted, but Wausa's undefeated season came to an end after 16 games on Thursday. They lost 72-48 to the Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] Bobcats. The loss put an end to the Vikings' undefeated start to the season.

Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard]'s success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sam Cheatum led the charge by going 9 for 11 en route to 22 points and seven assists. Those 22 points gave Cheatum a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Hoke, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards.

Wausa's defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-1. As for Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard], the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-1.
