            The Carlinville Cavaliers will challenge the New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly Vipers at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly took a loss in their last  game and will be looking to turn the tables on Carlinville, who comes in off a win.
On Friday, Carlinville was able to grind out a solid  victory over Hillsboro, taking the game  8-3. That five run margin sets a new team best for the Cavaliers this season.
 Dom Alepra spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned  (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances.

 Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly's offense. They came up short against  Beardstown on Saturday, falling  8-0. The Vipers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.
 Carlinville has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-13 record  this season. As for New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-13.
