Baseball Recap: Shenandoah Takes a Loss

Shenandoah lost against Cambridge back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Zeps fell 6-1 to the Bobcats.

Shenandoah saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Cline, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Shenandoah's loss was their 23rd straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Cambridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shenandoah will host Bridgeport at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Zeps' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Cambridge, they will be playing at home against Indian Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Braves will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Bobcats surely won't give up without a fight.
