Baseball Recap: Drew Central Takes a Loss

After flying high against Dumas on Tuesday, Drew Central came back down to earth. The Pirates took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Harmony Grove Hornets on Thursday. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 9-6 to the Hornets when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Drew Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Harmony Grove, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 11-11 record.

Coming up, Drew Central will challenge McGehee at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Owls have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Harmony Grove, they will head out to take on Parkers Chapel at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
