Basketball Recap: Sycamore Takes a Loss

Sycamore was the 49-35 winner over Fairfield when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Sycamore Aviators fell to the Fairfield Indians 52-47. While losing is never fun, the Aviators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Indians are ranked 82nd).

Sycamore dropped their record down to 5-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Fairfield, their record now sits at 10-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sycamore won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Fairfield, they will square off against Colerain at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
