Recap: South Loup vs. Lawrence-Nelson Raiders

The South Loup put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Lawrence-Nelson 62-12 at home. The result was nothing new for South Loup, who have now won nine matchups by 27 points or more so far this season.

Trey Connell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 158 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 83 yards and a touchdown while completing 80% of his passes. Connell's longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Conner Paulsen, who rushed for 61 yards and a touchdown.

South Loup's win was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0. As for Lawrence-Nelson, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

South Loup will stay at home for another week and welcome Central Valley at 6:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Central Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine contests -- so hopefully South Loup likes a good challenge. Lawrence-Nelson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
