Basketball Recap: Virginia City Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Virginia City can now relate to. They fell just short of the Smith Valley Bulldogs by a score of 51-49 on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 50-48 loss last Saturday.

Virginia City's loss dropped their record down to 24-4. As for Smith Valley, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 27-2.

As of now, neither Virginia City nor Smith Valley have any future games scheduled.
