Preview: Deuel vs. Flandreau
The Flandreau Fliers will look to defend their home court Monday against the Deuel Cardinals. Flandreau is currently enjoying a six-game winning streak and is looking to extend their dominance.
The Fliers entered their matchup this past Thursday as the heavy favorite, and they fully lived up to expectations. They were the clear victors by a 56-34 margin over Flandreau Indian. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-16. Flandreau can attribute much of their success to senior Tishara Hardy, who had 17 points.
Meanwhile, Deuel came up short against DeSmet this past Thursday, falling 49-41.
Everything came up roses for the Fliers against the Cardinals when the two teams previously met in January of last year as the squad secured a 78-44 win. Will Flandreau repeat their success, or does Deuel have a better game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
