Baseball Game Preview: Trinity-Pawling School Pride vs. Avon Old Farms Beavers

Trinity-Pawling School is 0-10 against Avon Old Farms since May of 2016 but things could change on Saturday. The Pride will be playing in front of their home fans against the Beavers at 3:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Trinity-Pawling School will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Saturday, then bounced right back against Kent School on Wednesday. The Pride blew past the Lions 11-1.

Alex Cruz was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Cruz was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Luc Bush was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and one run. Manny Carreras was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Avon Old Farms beat Kingswood Oxford 6-3 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Beavers.

The win got Trinity-Pawling School back to even at 1-1. As for Avon Old Farms, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
