Basketball Recap: Fort White Extends Winning Streak to Three

Fort White had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They took down the Trenton Tigers 56-38. This was a revenge game for the Indians: when they faced off against the Tigers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 64-33 loss.

Fort White got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tafari Moe out in front who went 5 for 10 en route to 16 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Moe's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Kendal Henry was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Despite the defeat, Trenton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tyler Bullis posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Ridgell, who earned eight points.

Fort White's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-9. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for Trenton, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 12-8.

Fort White has already played their next matchup, a 42-37 win against Branford on the 24th. As for Trenton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 42-37 defeat against Bradford on the 25th.
