Recap: Quinter Bulldogs vs. Hill City Ringnecks

The Quinter Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 33 points or more this season. They really took it to Hill City for the full four quarters, racking up a 65-16 win at home. That 65-16 margin sets a new team best for Quinter this season.

Bryn Gillespie continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds. Gillespie is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Werth, who scored six points along with five steals.

The victory makes it two in a row for Quinter and bumps their season record up to 6-1. As for Hill City, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.

Quinter will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Dighton at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Dighton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 290th, while Quinter is ranked 86th). Hill City will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Trego at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Hopefully Trego focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Friday.
