Basketball Recap: Denbigh Baptist Christian Skates Past Broadwater Academy with Ease

Denbigh Baptist Christian's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They breezed by the Broadwater Academy Vikings to the tune of 71-42. The Minutemen have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.

Denbigh Baptist Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyson Fox, who posted 28 points. Another player making a difference was Joshua Kinney, who had 18 points.

Despite the loss, Broadwater Academy still got an impressive performance from Grayson Ross, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 17 points. What's more, Ross also racked up two assists, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Noah Pruitt was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Denbigh Baptist Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Broadwater Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.

Denbigh Baptist Christian will be playing at home against Gateway Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Broadwater Academy, they are taking a road trip to square off against StoneBridge at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
