Baseball Recap: Lakeview Comes Up Short

Lakeview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 16-3 to the Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Fighting Saints. If the Lakers were looking for revenge after losing 26-7 to the Fighting Saints when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lakeview's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9.

Coming up, Lakeview will challenge Canby at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lakers are facing the Lancers at the right time seeing as the Lancers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg, they will face off against Renville County West at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Jaguars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.73 runs per game on average), something the Fighting Saints will no doubt try to take advantage of.
